The door frame and gate are both made of high-quality gray cast iron or ductile iron. The guide rails are symmetrically arranged on both sides and connected to the two ends of the door frame with stainless steel bolt positioning pins (for small and medium-sized gates, the guide rails can be cast as a whole with the door frame). The length of the guide rail is generally 1/2 to 1/3 of the full opening height of the gate, so the overall structural strength is high, rigidity is high, wear resistance, corrosion resistance is good, and pressure bearing capacity is large. The gate plate is a water blocking component that directly bears water pressure, and the gate frame is the supporting component around the gate plate. It is also the sliding track for the up and down movement of the gate plate. The outer part of the sliding track is embedded in the second phase concrete of the gate pier and gate bottom, evenly transmitting the water pressure borne by the gate plate to the gate pier and gate chamber bottom. The contact area between the upstream face of the gate frame and the downstream face of the gate frame is mechanically refined and polished to be straight, smooth, and tightly fitted, so that the joint surface, water stop surface, and motion slide are integrated into one. Under the action of the hoist, when the gate is opened and closed, the closed inclined iron and the gate frame slide ensure the longitudinal and transverse running trajectory of the gate. Under the dual action of water pressure and the closed inclined iron, the gate runs smoothly, making the gate closely fit with the gate frame slide, thus achieving the purpose of effective water stop. Widely used in water intake and transportation, municipal construction, water supply and drainage, farmland irrigation and other projects, it is usually set at the inlet of channels and culverts, used as a working gate to regulate flow, control water level, or as a maintenance gate to close the orifice and block water. There are two types of cast iron gates: square and circular. Cast iron gates are generally composed of two parts: door leaves and door frames. The material of the door body and door frame is cast iron, which is generally cast and processed as a whole. Widely used in urban water supply and drainage, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, irrigation, power, textile and other industries for water treatment structures, to achieve flow and liquid level control is an important equipment for water supply and drainage and sewage treatment. Debugging and operation of the hoist:
1. Under no-load conditions, ensure that the three-phase current imbalance does not exceed plus or minus 10%, and measure the current value.
2. Adjustment of upper and lower limits: When the gate is fully closed, press the upper limit switch tightly and fix it on the screw. When the gate is fully open, press the lower limit plate down on the travel switch and fix it on the screw.
3. The main command adjustment of the hoist must ensure that the error when the gate is raised and lowered to the upper and lower limit positions does not exceed 1cm.
4. After installation, it is necessary to conduct a trial run. First, conduct a no-load test by letting the screw travel twice and listening for any abnormal sounds to check if the installation meets the technical requirements. Conduct a load test, perform two strokes under rated load, observe the operation of the screw and gate, and check for any abnormal phenomena. Only after confirming that there are no errors can it be officially put into operation.
5. Operators must master the structure, performance, and operation methods of the hoist, and have a certain level of mechanical knowledge to ensure the normal operation of the machine.
6. Before operation, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the hoist to ensure that all parts are lubricated properly and that the bolts are not loose. Check if the power circuit is connected and if the switch is in good condition during electric opening and closing.
7. During electric operation, the operator must not leave the site and immediately stop the machine if any problems are found.
8. When repairing the hoist, the load must be removed.
9. When in use, lubricating oil should be injected through the oil injection hole at any time, and sufficient lubricating oil should be maintained regularly. The screw should be regularly cleaned of oil stains and coated with new oil to prevent rust and corrosion.

Screw type opening and closing machineInstallation, commissioning and maintenance:

1. Be sure to maintain the basic layout plane at a horizontal angle of 180 degrees; The contact area between the base of the hoist and the foundation layout plane should reach over 90%; The screw axis should be perpendicular to the horizontal plane measured on the gate platform; It should be aligned vertically with the lifting ear hole of the gate plate to avoid tilting the screw, which may cause local stress and damage to the machine parts.

2. Place the hoist in the installation position. Put a limit plate on the screw, screw the screw into the hoist from the lower part of the crossbeam, and when the screw is exposed from above the hoist, then put on the limit plate. The lower part of the screw is connected to the gate.

3. The installation of the foundation building for the hoist must be stable and safe. The concrete for the machine base and foundation components shall be poured according to the drawings. When the concrete strength does not reach the design strength, it is not allowed to remove or change the temporary support of the hoist, nor to conduct trial mixing and operation.

4. Install the hoist according to the lifting centerline of the gate, align the center so that the deviation of the longitudinal and transverse centerlines does not exceed plus or minus 3mm, and the elevation deviation does not exceed plus or minus 5mm. Then pour the second phase concrete or connect it with the embedded steel plate.

5. The installation of electrical equipment for the hoist shall comply with the provisions of the drawings and instructions, and all electrical equipment shall be reliably grounded.

6. After the installation of each hoist, clean it, repair any damaged protective paint, and apply lubricating grease.


Precautions for selection of cast iron inlaid copper gate:

1. Water head (H) refers to the height from the highest water level to the bottom of the gate;

2. The opening and closing forces in the above table are under positive pressure;

3. The tonnage in the table includes the self weight of the gate and does not include the pre opening force;

4. The size of the pre air force is related to the number of blocks, slope, and processing accuracy of the gate, generally ranging from 60% to 95% of the opening force;

5. The force for selecting a hoist is generally 1.6 to 2 times the opening force;

6. The opening and closing force of other specifications of gates shall be approximately calculated based on the bearing area in this table.

Precautions for installation of cast iron inlaid copper gate:

1. Reserve installation positions for gates and hoists according to the requirements in the pre embedded diagram;

2. Use a plumb bob to embed the embedded parts in a straight line, ensuring that their surface and verticality are within the range of 1.5~3 ‰;

3. Fix the door frame and guide rail onto the embedded parts with bolts;

4. When the slenderness ratio of the screw (lifting rod length/screw outer diameter) 4H/d>200, a shaft guide frame should be installed, and the distance between the shaft guide frame and the gate lifting ear should be greater than the maximum opening degree of the gate.
