Fiber ball filter is a spherical filter material made of fiber. It is a new filter element following the progress and development of anthracite, quartz sand, ceramsite, foam plastic particles and other filter materials. This type of filter material made of chemical fiber filaments is different from traditional filter materials. It is a compressible soft filter material with a large specific surface area and porosity, accounting for 90% to 95% of the filter layer.
During the operation of the fiber ball, due to the resistance generated by the water flow passing through the filter layer, the fiber ball is flexible and the pores can be compressed. As the filtering pressure and the weight of the filter material increase, the porosity of the filter layer gradually decreases along the direction of water flow, forming an ideal distribution state of upper looseness and lower looseness. Therefore, it has strong interception ability and good water quality, with a filtration rate of up to 20-80m/h. Fiber ball filter material has the characteristics of larger retention capacity, higher filtration rate, smaller head loss, and longer operating cycle compared to other filter materials such as quartz sand. The regeneration of fiber ball filter requires backwashing with air and water, and repeated use.
