Product Introduction
Fiber diameter analyzer is an instrument that uses image method to measure fiber diameter and analyze fiber morphology and structure. The fiber sample is placed on the microscope stage and magnified through the objective lens and eyepiece into the camera for data acquisition. The image is analyzed and processed using computer image processing software to measure the diameter and morphological structure of the microscope.
There are two functions to choose from for measuring instrument diameter:
1. Longitudinal diameter measurement method: For fiber samples with a circular cross-section, the fibers can be directly arranged and parallel laid on a glass slide. The fiber can be imaged on the screen through a fiber optic microscope, and the diameter can be automatically measured by clicking on the fiber edge.
2. Cross sectional area method: For fiber samples with a non-circular cross-section, the fiber sample is first sliced using a Hasselblad slicer. The sliced fiber sample is placed on a stage, and the cross-sectional area of the fiber is measured on a screen using a fiber camera, and then automatically converted into an equivalent diameter.
The instrument consists of a microscope, computer, and image analysis system software. There are three microscope objectives to choose from: 10X, 20X, and 40X. The instrument resolution is 0.1 μ m (micrometers) and the measurement range is 2-200 μ m (micrometers).
The instrument can be used as a supporting equipment for engineering fiber tensile strength tester.
