As shown in the figure below, the infrared light source emits light at a certain angle to the detection light, and the intensity of the light received by the detector is related to the suspended solids in the measured water body. Therefore, the concentration of suspended solids in the measured water body can be calculated by measuring the intensity of the scattered light.
