Overview
The full oxygen combustion melting technology in the glass industry, which uses oxygen with a purity of 90% to 93% instead of air combustion, is suitable for assisting combustion with heavy oil, coal tar, natural gas, and coal converter gas in glass melting furnaces. The advantage of full oxygen combustion is to reduce the emission of flue gas and nitrogen oxides in flue gas, save energy. Without considering the energy consumption of oxygen production, it is generally believed that full oxygen combustion can save more than 30% of fuel compared to ordinary air combustion.
Product Details

Peking University Pioneer VPSA oxygen production technology can provide oxygen production equipment for the full oxygen (oxygen enriched) combustion section of glass kilns, with oxygen purity of over 93%, stable oxygen production, and flexible load adjustment. At present, more than 20 sets of VPSA oxygen production equipment have been built for the glass fiber industry, including multiple oxygen production projects exported to countries such as Bahrain.


Adsorption process:

The raw air is pressurized and sent into the adsorption tower using a blower. Impurities such as nitrogen are preferentially adsorbed by the molecular sieve, while oxygen is enriched at the top of the adsorption tower and enters the pressure equalization buffer tank to supply oxygen downstream.


Desorption process:

After the molecular sieve is saturated with adsorption, switch the valve to reverse the action of the blower to evacuate and restore the adsorption capacity of the molecular sieve. At this stage, oxygen is continuously supplied downstream from the pressure equalization buffer tank.



Technical features and advantages

Single tower process:

The single tower process effectively replaces the traditional two tower process, with fewer equipment, more stable operation, more convenient operation, and easier maintenance.

Efficient lithium based molecular sieve:

The third-generation high-efficiency lithium based oxygen producing molecular sieve (PU-8) has a lithium ion exchange rate of over 99%. It has the advantages of high strength, high nitrogen oxygen selectivity, high bulk density, uniform particle size, and long service life. Combined with proprietary automated filling technology, it effectively ensures the stability of the molecular sieve bed.

Oxygen valve:

Oxygen production valves are more suitable for VPSA oxygen production processes, with characteristics such as good sealing, fast switching speed, and stable performance. Their advantages of low failure rate and simple maintenance are more prominent.

Modular integrated design:

Compared with the conventional two tower process, the equipment is more compact, and the footprint can be saved by more than 20%.

Low operating costs:

The unit oxygen power consumption is as low as 0.35kwh/Nm3, and the annual maintenance cost can be reduced by 30%. Compared with ordinary oxygen concentrators or purchasing liquid oxygen, the annual comprehensive operating cost can be saved by more than 50%.
