Guangzhou open channel ultraviolet sterilizer in stockDesign Principles

The sterilization principle of ultraviolet light is to use the energy of ultraviolet light to destroy the DNA of various viruses, bacteria, and other pathogenic bodies in water. Ultraviolet light penetrates the cell membrane and nucleus of microorganisms, destroys the molecular bonds of nucleic acids, and causes them to lose their replication ability or activity and die. The ultraviolet sterilization band is between 200-300nm, with the 253.7nm band having the strongest ability.

UV disinfection technology has the advantages of safety, efficiency, low cost, and no by-products. After UV disinfection, there is no secondary pollution or by-products, and the effluent can be reused for irrigation in farmland, forest land, or underground water injection, achieving resource utilization.

Design Basis

Disinfection standard: The fecal coliforms in the effluent should not exceed 1 × 103 MPN/L (Grade A standard); The fecal coliforms in the effluent should not exceed 1 × 104 MPN/L (Grade I B standard) (30 day geometric mean).

UV dose: The effective UV dose that the system can achieve at the end of the lamp life when the peak flow rate and UV transmittance are 65%, that is, the biological verification dose of the sterilizer should not be less than 20000 µ Ws/cm2 according to the first level A standard, and not less than 16000 µ Ws/cm2 according to the first level B standard.

Equipment selection table

Guangzhou open channel ultraviolet sterilizer in stockThe antivirus ability will be affected by the following factors:

1. UV intensity: UV intensity is a key factor in killing bacteria and viruses. If the UV intensity is insufficient, it will not be able to effectively kill bacteria and viruses, especially for highly tolerant viruses and bacteria. Therefore, ensuring sufficient output of ultraviolet intensity is the key to improving its antivirus ability.
2. Exposure time: Adequate exposure time is an effective guarantee for ultraviolet disinfection. If bacteria and viruses in the air are exposed to ultraviolet light for too short a time, they will not be able to be killed. Therefore, according to the specifications and design, it is necessary to set the irradiation time reasonably to ensure that bacteria and viruses receive sufficient irradiation time.
3. Air flow rate: Air flow rate is also an important factor affecting antivirus ability. If the air flow is too high, it will cause ultraviolet rays to not fully irradiate all bacteria and viruses. Therefore, it is necessary to set the air flow rate reasonably according to the size and specifications of the air flow, in order to ensure that ultraviolet rays can fully irradiate all bacteria and viruses.
4. Types of bacteria and viruses: Different bacteria and viruses have varying levels of sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation. Some viruses and bacteria may have strong tolerance to ultraviolet radiation, making them difficult to kill. Therefore, when using, it is necessary to choose the appropriate disinfection method based on the characteristics of different bacteria and viruses to improve the disinfection effect.
