Working principle of QBK pneumatic diaphragm pump

In the two symmetrical working chambers of the diaphragm pump, each is equipped with an elastic diaphragm. The connecting rod integrates the two diaphragms, and compressed air from the pump's inlet joint pushes the diaphragms in the two working chambers, driving the two diaphragms connected by the connecting rod to move synchronously. At the same time, the gas in the other working chamber is discharged out of the pump from behind the diaphragm. Once reaching the end of the journey. The valve mechanism automatically introduces compressed air into another working chamber, pushing the diaphragm in the opposite direction, thus forming synchronous reciprocating motion of the two diaphragms. There are two one-way ball valves installed in each working chamber. The reciprocating motion of the diaphragm causes a change in the volume of the working chamber, forcing the two one-way ball valves to alternately open and close, thereby continuously inhaling and discharging liquid.

Common troubleshooting of pneumatic diaphragm pumps

1、 Liquid leaks out from the outlet of the gas chamber

   1. Please check if the diaphragm is ruptured.

  2. Check if the diaphragm is correctly installed and locked.

2、 Pneumatic diaphragm pump cannot start or operates slowly

   1. Check if the filtering, pressure regulating, and lubrication devices, as well as the air inlet filter screen, are blocked.

  2. Check if the air valve is stuck by impurities. Please remove and clean the air valve, and check if there are any scratches on the piston inside the air valve. If the surface of the piston is bright but not black and pure, it indicates that it has been worn and needs to be replaced with the piston and "O" ring. Traces of injury. If the surface of the piston is bright but not black and pure, it indicates that it has been worn and needs to be replaced with the piston and "O" ring. Please replace with a new product

  3. Check the spindle and "O" ring for scratches, wear, and flattened marks. If damaged, replace them.

3、 The pump is running but the flow rate is too low

1. Check if there are any cavitation spots on the pump body and adjust the inlet pressure of the compressed air. Reduce the operating speed of the pump body to adjust liquids with high viscosity and concentration.

  2. Check if the valve ball is stuck. If the liquid being transported does not match the material of the valve ball. The valve ball will swell. Please replace the valve ball and seat with suitable materials.

3. Please check if the inlet pipe is blocked.

4、 The exported liquid contains a large number of bubbles

   1. Please check if the diaphragm is ruptured.

  2. Check for leaks in the pump body and piping.
