The testo 370 high-temperature infrared flue gas analyzer is an extraction based continuous measurement system used for continuous emission monitoring of gas pollutants (such as CO, NO, N2O, NO2, NH3, CH4, HCl, SO2), as well as measurement of CO2, H2O, and O2. It can also be used for continuous process control.

The testo 370 consists of two lightweight and compact boxes with handles, one photometer box and one air pump box. When in use, two boxes can be stacked. All interfaces are located behind the handle cover on the box.
The photometer box has a sturdy base design and is structurally separated from the photometer, electronic control part, and computer electronic part.

There are two continuously running pumps inside the pump casing, which transport measuring gas and zero gas respectively. According to the selected operating mode (measurement/blowing), the measurement gas and zero gas transfer are respectively executed by one pump. Gas connection is achieved through corresponding valves.

The measurement principle of gas components is based on the specific infrared light absorption characteristics of different substances. Infrared light directly passes through the measuring gas, and as the substance absorbs a specific wavelength, the light intensity decreases, reflecting changes in concentration.

The testo 370 uses three different measurement methods for calculating gas concentration:
