Honeycomb molecular sieveadsorption performance
The adsorption of zeolite molecular sieves is a physical process. The main reason for adsorption is the "surface force" generated by the molecular gravity acting on the solid surface. When the fluid flows through, some molecules in the fluid collide with the adsorbent surface due to irregular motion, resulting in molecular concentration on the surface and reducing the number of such molecules in the fluid, achieving the purpose of separation and removal.
Due to the fact that adsorption does not undergo chemical changes, as long as the molecules concentrated on the surface are driven away, zeolite molecular sieves will have adsorption capacity again. This process is the reverse process of adsorption, called desorption or regeneration.
Due to the uniform pore size of zeolite molecular sieve, it can only easily enter the crystal cavity and be adsorbed when the molecular dynamic diameter is smaller than the pore size of zeolite molecular sieve. Therefore, zeolite molecular sieve is like a sieve for gas and liquid molecules, determining whether to be adsorbed based on the size of the molecules.
Due to the strong polarity within the crystal cavities of zeolite molecular sieves, they can interact strongly with molecules containing polar groups on the surface of zeolite molecular sieves, or induce polarization of polarizable molecules to produce strong adsorption.
The characteristic of polar or easily polarized molecules being easily adsorbed by polar zeolite molecular sieves reflects another adsorption selectivity of zeolite molecular sieves.
Honeycomb molecular sieve is an environmentally friendly adsorbent material that is hydrophobic. Its characteristic is different from ordinary molecular sieves in that it preferentially adsorbs water in gases. It has high selectivity for organic matter adsorption and can be resolved at high temperatures, thus achieving continuous adsorption regeneration. The adsorbent material is made into a solid honeycomb structure using a preparation process, which has high efficiency in adsorbing organic matter and can be adsorbed regenerated for a long time.
