According to the classification of sewage sources, sewage treatment is generally divided into production sewage treatment and domestic sewage treatment. Production wastewater includes industrial wastewater, agricultural wastewater, and medical wastewater, while domestic wastewater refers to the wastewater generated in daily life. Wastewater treatment is suitable for residential areas, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, government offices, schools, factories, and similar industrial organic wastewater, such as organic wastewater treatment in textile, beer, paper, leather, food, chemical and other industries.

Process characteristics:
1. The quality and quantity of industrial wastewater fluctuate greatly, with a wide range of changes.
2. The variation pattern of water volume in industrial wastewater is different from that in domestic wastewater, and it has characteristics such as random intermittency and uncertainty.
3. The concentration of pollutants in industrial wastewater is relatively high, with a CODCR value generally above 2000 mgl.
4. Industrial wastewater is complex, diverse, and high in content, including toxic substances such as phenolic compounds (benzene derivatives, heavy metal ions, and pathogens).
5. Wastewater contains difficult to biodegrade organic matter and nutrients such as phosphorus;
6. Wastewater often contains radioactive substances;
7. Difficulty in wastewater treatment;
8. Significant impact on the environment: Due to the high concentration or special properties of pollutants discharged (such as cyanide containing wastewater), they can cause pollution hazards to the surrounding environment.
9. After sewage treatment, it needs to be disinfected before it can be discharged or reused.
Industrial wastewater treatment equipmentprocessing technology
Modern sewage treatment technology can be divided into primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment according to the degree of treatment.
First level processing,
The main purpose is to remove suspended solid pollutants from sewage, and most physical treatment methods can only meet the requirements of primary treatment. After primary treatment, sewage can generally remove about 30% of BOD, which does not meet the discharge standards. The first level processing belongs to the preprocessing of the second level processing.
Secondary processing,
Mainly removes colloidal and dissolved organic pollutants (BOD, COD substances) in sewage, with a removal rate of over 90%, to meet the discharge standards for organic pollutants.
Third level processing,
Further processing of recalcitrant organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, and other soluble inorganic substances that can lead to eutrophication of water bodies. The main methods include biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal, coagulation precipitation, sand ratio, activated carbon adsorption, ion exchange, and electroosmotic analysis.
