What are the common facilities for acid-base neutralization method
(1) Neutralization facilities for acid-base wastewater
① When there is little change in water quality and quantity, or when the buffering capacity of wastewater is large, or when subsequent structures require a wide range of pH values, it is not necessary to set up a separate neutralization tank. Instead, continuous flow mixing and reaction can be carried out in a collection well, pipeline, or meandering mixing tank.
② When there is little change in water quality and quantity, and the wastewater has a certain buffering capacity, but in order to ensure the pH value of the effluent, a separate continuous flow neutralization tank should be set up.
③ When the water quality and quantity change greatly and the water quantity is small, the continuous flow neutralization tank cannot guarantee the required pH value of the effluent, or the effluent quality requirements are high, or the wastewater still contains other impurities or heavy metal ions. A more reliable approach is to adopt an intermittent neutralization tank. At this time, there should be at least two neutralization tanks for alternating use, and the volume of each tank can be calculated based on the amount of wastewater discharged per shift or day and night.
(2) Drug neutralization treatment equipment and facilities
① There are two ways to add neutralizing agents: dry and wet. The equipment used and the method of adding coagulants are the same.
② The mixed reaction tank is generally a partition type mixed reaction tank, which uses compressed air or mechanical stirring inside the tank. The sedimentation tank is mostly a horizontal flow sedimentation tank.
(3) Filtering and neutralization facilities. There are two types of filtration and neutralization facilities: gravity based ordinary neutralization filter and upward flow expansion filter.

After treatment, the wastewater enters the active adsorption device. Suspended solids, trace metals, and very small amounts of organic matter that have not been removed are partially removed through physical and chemical processes such as adsorption and interception. The other part is degraded and removed by anaerobic, aerobic, and facultative bacteria in the microbial membrane attached to the filter material. Activated carbon is intercepted and adsorbed, and combined with microorganisms.
