Structure and Working Principle

1. The filter press consists of a frame, a filter plate, a clamping system (in manual, mechanical, and hydraulic forms), and an electrical control cabinet.

2. The rack part serves to support the compression device and filter plate, and is composed of a machine base, compression plate, thrust plate, and main beam.

3. The filter plate is installed on the main beam between the compression plate and the thrust plate, with the filter cloth sandwiched between them.

4. During operation, the compression device (oil cylinder piston rod or screw) pushes the compression plate to compress the filter plate and filter cloth located between the compression plate and the thrust plate. A filter chamber is formed between the compressed filter plates, and the material pumped in by the material pump enters each filter chamber through the feed hole of the thrust plate. Solid particles are trapped in the filter chamber and form a filter cake, while liquid is discharged from the outside of the machine through the outlet holes of the filter cake and filter cloth. If it is necessary to wash the filter cake, washing water can be introduced into the washing port on the tail plate for washing. If the filter cake needs to be dried, compressed air can be introduced through the washing port to blow dry the filter cake.

5. The structure of the plate and frame type is the same as that of the box type, except that the filtering part is composed of one plate, one frame, and filter cloth, and the plate and frame space is the filter chamber.

6. The liquid flow form of this device is divided into open flow and dark flow. Clear flow refers to the direct discharge of liquid from the outlet holes of each filter plate, while dark flow refers to the convergence of filtrate from each filter plate and its discharge from the outlet holes.
