Improvement of ball valve structure

1. X-shaped sealing ring structure

The X-shaped sealing ring has sealing surfaces around it and lubrication grooves inside and outside the sealing ring. This structure is superior to the O-ring sealing ring, with low installation accuracy, good reliability, no maintenance required, low price, and the ability to adjust compression through gaskets. It has been widely used in the sealing of cast stone valves of various pressure levels, effectively preventing leakage and greatly extending the service life of the valve, improving its reliability.

2. X-shaped sealing ring material

The X-shaped sealing material adopts polyurethane (CPU) material, which can effectively solve the problems existing in traditional O-ring seals. Cast polyurethane is a commonly used sealing material with high elastic modulus, good physical and mechanical properties, and the ability to withstand large impact loads. Polyurethane has basically solved the problem of hydrolysis resistance and its temperature resistance level is constantly improving, greatly expanding the application field of polyurethane. Producing X-shaped sealing rings with cast polyurethane has a simple process and low manufacturing cost. Its pressure resistance level can reach 60MPa or even higher, and the pressure holding effect is also quite good, basically reaching zero leakage.

3. Sealing principle of ball valve

Its working principle: When tightening the bolt, the packing cover moves downward to press and adjust the gasket. Through the compression of the V-shaped packing gasket, the inner and outer lips of the X-shaped sealing ring are simultaneously pressed against the sealing surface of the shaft and hole, ensuring reliable sealing. Its main sealing performance depends on the tightening force of the bolt during assembly, and has little to do with the accuracy of the shaft and hole dimensions.
