The process of filing and testing for water efficiency level identification usually includes the following steps:
Fill in application materials: Producers or importers need to fill in relevant water efficiency testing application materials, including product information, enterprise information, etc.
Sample testing: Send the product samples to a designated accredited laboratory for testing according to water efficiency standards, and issue a water efficiency testing report.
Registering an enterprise water efficiency account: Register an enterprise water efficiency account at the Water Efficiency Center, fill in the enterprise information, and upload the enterprise business license and other materials.
Submit filing application:
Apply for a water efficiency label QR code.
Create water efficiency label samples.
Submit filing requirements documents, including product front view, nameplate image, water efficiency label sample, etc.
Review and Announcement: The Water Efficiency Center reviews the submitted filing materials and makes an announcement after approval. After the announcement, enterprises can print water efficiency labels as required and apply them to the products before they leave the factory.
5、 Testing institutions and requirements
The institutions conducting water efficiency level labeling and filing testing need to have corresponding qualifications and conditions. Generally speaking, companies can utilize their own testing resources for testing, but it is more common to commission third-party laboratories for testing. These third-party laboratories should have qualifications such as CMA (China Metrology Accreditation) and CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. 6、 Precautions and requirements
Product scope: Not all water using products need to undergo water efficiency level labeling and filing testing. Only products included in the "Catalogue of Products Implementing Water Efficiency Labeling in the People's Republic of China" need to undergo testing and filing.
Filing time: Producers shall submit complete filing materials and apply for water efficiency labeling filing to authorized institutions before the products leave the factory, and importers shall apply for water efficiency labeling filing before the products enter the country.
Identification change: If there is a change in the water efficiency identification content of the product, it should be re registered with the authorized agency.
Overseas producers: If it is an overseas producer, additional information needs to be provided when filing the water efficiency label, such as a copy of the producer's business license or registration certificate, a copy of the importer's business license, and a copy of the relevant contract signed with the overseas producer.
