Sealed metal wrap gaskets survive by quality. The belief in seeking development through management. Sincerely serving you. Welcome new and old customers to come
Sealed metal wrap gasket is suitable for sealing flange connections such as pipelines, valves, pressure vessels, condensers, heat exchangers, towers, manholes, handholes, etc. in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, shipbuilding, and machinery
Characteristics of sealed metal wrap gasket
1. The applicable operating range is wide. Capable of withstanding high temperatures, high pressures, and adapting to usage conditions under ultra-low temperatures or vacuum. By changing the material combination of the gasket, the chemical corrosion problem of various media on the gasket can be solved.
2. Strong stress compensation capability. At workstations with frequent temperature and pressure fluctuations, the sealing performance is stable and reliable.
3. Excellent sealing performance.
4. The surface accuracy requirement for the flange sealing surface in contact with the gasket is not high.
5. Easy to install, with low pre tightening pressure on the gasket.
Precautions
1. The winding part of the gasket must be between the flange sealing surface, and the width of the winding part cannot be widened arbitrarily, which will inevitably affect the clamping force of the bolt and thus affect the sealing performance of the gasket.
2. Basic gaskets should not be used on concave convex flanges, as the welding points on the inner ring of the gasket are prone to cracking under the axial compression force of the flange, resulting in gasket failure.
3. Under harsh working conditions such as high temperature, cold or frequent alternation of cold and hot, large vibration, and strong corrosive media, gaskets for flat flanges and convex flanges should be equipped with inner rings made of reasonable materials.
4. Low material gaskets should never be used to replace high material gaskets. Avoid gasket failure caused by material corrosion or other reasons.
The surface of the gasket body is not allowed to have scratches, gaps, unevenness, or rust defects that affect the sealing performance. The non-metallic strip on the surface of the gasket body should be evenly and appropriately raised above the metallic strip, and the interlayer texture should be clear, but the metallic strip should not be exposed. The spacing between the welding points of the metal wrapped gasket should be uniform, and there should be no defects such as lack of fusion or over fusion. The surface of the reinforcing ring should not have defects such as burrs, unevenness, rust spots, etc. The distance between the upper and lower sealing surfaces of the gasket body and the upper and lower surfaces of the reinforcing ring should be equal. The reinforcing ring and the gasket body should be tightly fixed and not loose; The outer ring and gasket body should be kept in position and can be appropriately loosened.
