Overview
Sludge specific resistance test shows that the moisture content of sludge is generally high and its volume is large, which is not conducive to storage, transportation, treatment, disposal, and utilization. Therefore, dewatering treatment must be carried out to reduce the volume of sludge and thus reduce the cost of subsequent treatment.
Product Details

Sludge specific resistance testSludge testing report project:

1. Elemental analysis: Total sulfur, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, chlorine, sulfur, etc.

2. Physical and chemical index testing: chloride ions, low-level heat generation, high-level heat generation, particle size, sediment content, bulk density, etc.

3. Pollution indicators: pH, fatty acids, total alkalinity, organic matter content, moisture content, mixed sludge concentration, phenols, total bacterial count, total mercury, arsenic and its compounds, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, petroleum hydrocarbons, etc.

4. Industrial analysis: moisture, volatile matter, ash content, fixed carbon.

5. Loss on ignition and radioactive nuclide indicators: Loss on ignition, radioactive nuclide.

6. Ash component detection: silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, titanium oxide, potassium oxide, sodium oxide, manganese dioxide, etc.

7. Leaching toxicity items: lead, arsenic, copper, nickel, zinc, chromium, hexavalent chromium, cadmium, mercury, beryllium, inorganic calcium fluoride, alkylmercury, etc.

8. Ash melting detection: deformation temperature, softening temperature, hemisphere temperature, flow temperature, etc.

Sludge specific resistance testThe moisture content of sludge is generally high and its volume is large, which is not conducive to storage, transportation, treatment, disposal, and utilization. Therefore, dewatering treatment must be carried out to reduce the volume of sludge and thus lower the cost of subsequent treatment. Due to the significant differences in the difficulty of dewatering sludge with different properties, measuring the dewatering performance of sludge is of great significance for selecting appropriate dewatering methods.

At present, the commonly used method for sludge dewatering is filtration. There are usually two methods for measuring filtration: specific resistance (r) test and capillary water absorption time (CST) test.

(1) Specific resistance measurement test

The specific resistance test is also known as the Buchner funnel test.

The physical meaning of specific resistance is the resistance per unit mass of sludge on a unit filtration area when filtered under a certain pressure. The higher the specific resistance of sludge, the worse the filtration performance and the more difficult it is to dewater.

Sewage sludge is organic sludge composed of hydrophilic colloidal particles with negative charges. The particles are extremely uneven and small, with high volatile solid content, high specific resistance, and poor dewatering performance. Especially activated sludge. Organic dispersion systems include colloidal particles with an average particle size of less than 0.1pm, ultracolloidal particles ranging from 1.0 to 100um, and large particles aggregated by colloids. There is usually a positive correlation between the organic matter content and the specific resistance value of sludge, that is, the higher the organic matter content, the greater the specific resistance value of sludge, and the more difficult it is to dehydrate.
