ABTS， The English name 2,2 '- Azino bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) and Chinese name 2,2' - diazobis - (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) are horseradish peroxidase (HRP) substrates suitable for ELISA steps. The substrate reacts with peroxidase to produce soluble end products, which are green in color and have two main absorption peaks at 410nm and 650nm. The detection sensitivity of ABTS is weaker than OPD and TMB in the ELISA step. And it is not immediately oxidized, the color generation will be slower (about 20 minutes). These characteristics make it advantageous in high background applications caused by higher sensitivity in OPD or TMB color reactions.

ABTS One Component Substrate Solution is a ready to use one component color solution that does not require dilution. Just one simple step to add, may require adding 1% SDS to terminate the reaction (without changing color). Recommended for ELISA microplate detection.

Preservation and transportation methods

Storage: Store at 4 ° C in the dark, stable for 1 year.

Transportation: Ice pack transportation.

Instructions for use

1) Before the formal experiment, take an appropriate amount of this product and let it warm up at room temperature. [Note]: Ready to use solution, no dilution required.

2) After incubation with HRP coupling reagent, wash at least once.

3) Add ABTS single component color developer to a 96 well plate at a rate of 100 µ l/well and mix gently.

4) Incubate at room temperature for 15-30 minutes. [Note]: The incubation time may vary depending on the reaction system.

5) [Optional] In a 96 well plate, add 1% SDS at a rate of 100 µ l/well to terminate the reaction and mix gently.

6) Measure the absorbance value at 405-410nm.

Precautions

1) ABTS is considered a photosensitive compound and it is recommended to store it away from light.

2) For your safety and health, please wear lab coats and disposable gloves when operating.
