Spray drying system for cathode material of 10000t sodium ion battery
Capacity benchmark:
Annual production capacity: 10000 tons.
Annual operating time: 7200 hours.
Theoretical hourly output: ≥ 1.39 tons/hour. Considering factors such as material loss, equipment start stop, cleaning and maintenance, the system design output usually needs to increase by 10-20%, with a recommended design output of 1.6-1.8 tons/hour.
Key characteristics of raw materials and products (to be confirmed/provided by your company):
Solid content: The solid content range of the precursor and lithium salt (or sodium salt) mixed slurry (e.g. 40% -55%). Directly affecting the evaporation water volume and tower size.
Solvent properties: usually deionized water. If organic solvents (such as NMP) are involved, a complete set of explosion-proof, inerting, and solvent recovery designs are required.
Product particle size distribution (D50): such as 5-15 μ m. This determines the choice of atomizer type (centrifugal or pressure) and tower diameter design.
Product loose packing density: affects the selection of post-treatment equipment.
Thermal sensitivity: The material allows for inlet/outlet temperatures to ensure that the material structure is not damaged.
Key process parameter design:
Inlet temperature: usually 200-300 ℃ (determined based on material thermal stability).
Air outlet temperature: usually 100-120 ℃. This is a key parameter for controlling the final moisture content of the product (usually required to be ≤ 0.5%).
System yield: target ≥ 98%. It needs to be achieved through a combination of efficient cyclone separators, bag filters, or wet dust collectors.
Suggestions for detailed supply scope (complementary to PID)

The tower wall is equipped with high-frequency air vibration or air scanning devices to prevent wall sticking. The core location for heat and mass transfer between atomized droplets and hot air.
4. Primary cyclone separator for gas-solid separation system (made of 316L material);
Secondary high-efficiency bag filter (anti-static filter material) or wet scrubbing tower. Separate and collect dried product powder from exhaust gas to ensure high yield.
5. Temperature and corrosion resistant induced draft fan for exhaust and induced draft system (frequency conversion control);
Silencer;
Exhaust chimney. Provide stable negative pressure for the system to ensure that dust does not escape and exhaust gases are discharged.
6 Product discharge and cooling pneumatic butterfly valves, star shaped discharge valves;
Built in fluidized bed cooler or vibrating fluidized bed cooler. Continuous closed discharge and rapid cooling of the product to prevent agglomeration and thermal degradation.
7. PLC+touch screen fully automatic control system for electrical control system;
Online monitoring and interlocking control of key parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate);
