1. The outlet pressure acts on the bottom surface of the diaphragm and the valve disc. When it exceeds the set value of the spring, it compresses the spring and causes the valve disc to close.

2. As long as there is no water flow downstream, the outlet pressure will remain at the set value (with a change of only 8% of the inlet pressure change).

3. When downstream water is used, the outlet pressure drops, and the spring pushes open the diaphragm, opening the pressure reducing valve.

4. After a continuous flow of water, the opening of the pressure reducing valve produces a self damping effect, making the opening and closing actions tend to be stable.

Possible causes of malfunction:

1. Frost damage requires attention to insulation in cold regions.

2. The water flow direction is installed incorrectly, the pressure reducing valve becomes a check valve, and the outlet pressure is 0.

3. The spring is too tight to close, and the pressure reducing valve will be directly connected to P2=P1.

4. The bypass pipe is leaking, causing P2 to deviate from the set value.

5. Considering the good reliability and durability of this pressure reducing valve, it is recommended not to install a brightness tube.
