2、 Description of Activated Carbon Adsorption Equipment:

Activated carbon is a black powdery, granular, or pellet shaped amorphous carbon with porous properties. The main component is charcoal, which also contains small amounts of oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur, nitrogen, and chlorine. It also has a fine structure like graphite, but with smaller grains and irregularly stacked layers. Has a large surface area (500-1000 ㎡/g). It has strong adsorption ability and can adsorb gases, liquids or colloidal solids on its surface. The adsorption of gas and liquid can be close to the quality of activated carbon itself.

Activated carbon adsorption is selective, and non-polar substances are easier to adsorb than polar substances. In the same series of substances, substances with higher boiling points are more easily adsorbed. The higher the pressure and temperature, the higher the concentration, and the greater the adsorption capacity. Conversely, reducing pressure and increasing temperature are beneficial for gas desorption.

When organic waste gas is powered by a fan and enters the activated carbon adsorption tower under positive or negative pressure, due to the presence of unbalanced and unsaturated molecular gravity or chemical bonding forces on the solid surface of activated carbon, when the solid surface comes into contact with gas, it can attract gas molecules, concentrate and maintain them on the solid surface, and adsorb pollutants and odors. After passing through the activated carbon adsorption tower, the waste gas enters the equipment's dust removal system to purify the gas for high-altitude emission standards.
