After multiple procedures such as pipeline collection of sewage, anaerobic biological treatment, contact oxidation, sedimentation, and standard discharge, the originally turbid sewage becomes very clear.

1. The solar powered sewage treatment equipment removes some suspended solids, as well as organic and inorganic substances suspended in large particles, through a filtering grid

2. After filtration, the sewage flows into the anaerobic tank, where anaerobic microorganisms are used to degrade the organic matter in the sewage, oxidizing the organic matter of large molecule complex chains into small molecule single chain organic matter.

3. Wastewater and phosphorus containing sludge returning from the sedimentation tank release phosphorus in an anaerobic state, which can be absorbed in a large amount in a solar aerobic tank for phosphorus removal through sludge discharge. Part of the ammonia nitrogen in the sewage is converted into NH3-N in the solar primary aerobic tank. After the self flowing sewage enters the anoxic tank, denitrifying bacteria use the organic matter in the sewage as a carbon source to reduce the large amount of NO3-N and NO2-N brought into the first aerobic tank to N2 and release it into the air, thereby removing ammonia nitrogen.

4. After the anoxic tank, the secondary aerobic tank is used to remove pollutants such as CODcr and SS.

5. Elastic packing is installed in the contact oxidation tank, and a microporous aerator is installed to increase dissolved oxygen concentration through aeration by a blower. Due to the BOD sludge load used in this project being less than 0.1kgBOD/kg (MLSS) · d, the system maintains a high sludge concentration, resulting in very little sludge production in this project. The secondary sedimentation tank is equipped with a sludge discharge device, which discharges sludge at regular intervals and treats it as fertilizer nearby.
