The valley electric energy storage steam system designed and produced by Shandong Jinzhe refers to a thermal energy storage system that uses magnesia bricks as the heat storage medium and uses the stored heat to generate steam. The heat stored in magnesia bricks comes from low valley electricity, clean wind power, photovoltaics, etc. It can achieve continuous 24-hour steam supply and is a low-carbon and low-cost industrial steam supply technology with broad application prospects. The deviceBy inserting an electric heating element into the heat storage body, the magnesia brick is heated to 650-750 ℃ using the electric heating element to achieve electric thermal conversion. The thermal storage body is wrapped in insulation materials to achieve heat storage. When steam needs to be produced again, pure water is connected to the built-in steam generator, and saturated steam of no more than 2.5 MPa is generated through heat exchange. The entire operation process is controlled by an intelligent control system with a high degree of automation. Due to the fact that magnesia brick is a solid medium, its form is different from the heat storage media such as water and molten salt used in the industry. Therefore, it is also known as a solid energy storage steam system, which we call a solid energy storage heating unit.
There are two options for the input voltage level of the unit: 380V and 10KV. High power units above 600KW can directly input 10kV high voltage, saving users a large amount of transformer capacity expansion costs. They operate safely and reliably, with a high degree of automation.
This unit is equipped with its own steam generator components to ensure steam stability or produce superheated steam. The heat storage period is determined according to the local valley electricity period, and the heat release period is flexibly set according to the heat demand, which can achieve various heating needs such as 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, etc.
The modular assembly technology of the product is mature, and the maximum single module steam output of the 10KV high-voltage direct entry unit is 1.5 tons/hour. Larger demand can be assembled modularly on this basis. Single module steam production of 380V unitzuiUp to 500kg/hour, single machine outputzuiApproximately 4 tons per hour.


Valley Electric Energy Storage Steam SystemApplication Examples
Recently, the valley electric energy storage steam unit designed and produced by Shandong Jinzhe New Energy has been put into operation at Jiangsu Nanjing Chuangsite Clothing Co., Ltd. The unit is invested and operated by Contract Energy Management Company, using Jinzhe 300KW Valley Electric Energy Storage Steam Unit to provide ironing steam for Chuangsite Clothing, replacing the original electric steam generator, supplying 0.5MPa steam, with an hourly evaporation capacity of 300KG and a daily steam supply of ≥ 3 tons.

The valley electric energy storage steam unit and the electric steam generator are both devices that use electricity to produce steam. The difference is that the valley electric energy storage steam unit converts valley electricity (power grid, wind power, photovoltaic power) into heat and stores it in the heat storage body. Then, when the user needs to use steam, it provides steam to the user through appropriate heat output technology and can also supply steam continuously for 24 hours. Therefore, the power consumption is concentrated during low peak periods, and only one wind turbine consumes electricity during peak and off peak periods.
The electric steam generator, on the other hand, is directly connected to the power source during the time when the user needs to use steam (which may be during off peak or off peak periods), and then produces steam through appropriate heat output technology. That is to say, whenever steam is used, electricity is consumed during the same time period.
Due to the fact that the calorific value generated by each kilowatt hour of electricity is the same, which means that supplying steam with the same parameters, the power consumption of valley electric energy storage steam units and electric steam generators is similar. However, because the electricity consumed by valley power storage steam units is almost entirely cheap by more than 50%, the overall electricity cost for steam production is much lower than that of electric steam generators.
According to the electricity price policy implemented in Jiangsu Province from June 1, 2025, it is estimated that Shandong Jinzhe's valley power energy storage steam unit will replace the original electric steam generator, saving more than 50% of steam costs during peak hours, with a theoretical investment payback period of less than 2 years, and significant cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
