Compared with other similar valves, it has a better way of securing the valve seat, quick on-site replacement of the valve seat, zero valve leakage, and low friction. When the diameter is greater than DN200, use a worm gear drive for easier opening.

Including China, the most widely used method currently is "lime (limestone) gypsum"Wet desulfurization technologyIn this process system, multiple corrosive media are involved and contain particulate materials, which cause strong corrosion and wear to the equipment. Therefore, there are special requirements for the material and structural form of the valve. In the late 1980s, when China introduced foreign desulfurization technology on a large scale, the valve body of imported butterfly valves was lined with EPDM rubber, and the butterfly plate and valve stem were made of Hastelloy alloy material. Due to its high price, more and more users have adopted duplex stainless steel butterfly plates. Duplex stainless steel combines the characteristics of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel, combining the excellent toughness and weldability of austenitic stainless steel with the high strength and chloride stress corrosion resistance of ferritic stainless steel. In the late 1980s, it developed rapidly as a weldable structural material and has become an important type of stainless steel. Compared with other types of stainless steel, it has the following characteristics:

1. Molybdenum containing bidirectional stainless steel has good resistance to chloride stress corrosion under low stress, and can replace austenitic 18-8 stainless steel that is prone to stress corrosion cracking under this medium condition;

2. Molybdenum containing bidirectional stainless steel has good resistance to pitting corrosion. When the equivalent resistance to pitting corrosion (PRE) is the same, the critical pitting potential of bidirectional stainless steel is similar to that of austenitic stainless steel. The pitting corrosion resistance of bidirectional stainless steel containing 18% Gr is comparable to AISI 316L. The pitting and crevice corrosion resistance of high chromium bidirectional stainless steel containing 25% Cr, especially nitrogen, exceeds that of AISI 316L;

3. Has good corrosion fatigue and wear resistance;

4. Good weldability, no need for heat treatment after welding, and the welded joint has good corrosion resistance;

These types of super austenitic stainless steels generally have similar performance. As the nickel (Ni) content increases, the performance slightly improves, but the price also increases accordingly.

Installation precautions:

1. The standard for pipeline clamp flanges must be consistent with the butterfly valve standard, and it is recommended to use butterfly valve flanges for clamp connection flanges;

2. Before use and installation, check whether the operating conditions are consistent with the performance of this butterfly valve;

3. Before installation, the valve cavity and sealing surface should be cleaned to prevent any dirt or debris from adhering;

4. The protruding valve body end faces at both ends of the valve seat serve as flange gaskets, and there is no need to add additional gaskets during the installation of butterfly valves;

5. This butterfly valve can be installed on horizontal, vertical, and any angle of pipeline, and can be used in both directions;

6. Butterfly valves shall not be installed at the corners of pipelines and shall not be installed upside down;

7. During installation, the butterfly valve must be in the closed position to ensure that the butterfly plate does not collide with the pipeline flange, etc;

8. Confirm that the flange welding is correct. After installing the butterfly valve, it is not allowed to weld the flange again to avoid burning the rubber parts and anti-corrosion coating;

9. If the butterfly valve experiences abnormal opening and closing, the cause should be identified, the fault should be eliminated, and methods such as knocking, smashing, prying, and using handle extension rods to forcibly open and close should not be used.
