Overview

A compressed air separator is used to separate impurities such as condensed moisture and oil from compressed air, allowing for initial purification of the compressed air. The separated oil and water are discharged together from the sewage outlet.

Compressed air separator

It is composed of a casing, separator, filter element, and sewage components. When compressed air containing a large amount of solid impurities such as oil and water enters the separator and rotates down its inner wall, the centrifugal effect generated causes oil and water to precipitate from the steam flow and flow down the wall to the bottom of the oil-water separator, and then be finely filtered by the filter element. Due to the use of folded coarse, fine, and ultrafine fiber filter materials, the filter element has high filtration efficiency (up to 98% or more) and low resistance. When gas passes through the filter element, it is firmly adhered to the filter material fibers due to the obstruction of the filter element, inertial collision, van der Waals forces between molecules, electrostatic attraction, and vacuum attraction, and gradually increases into droplets that drip into the bottom of the separator under the action of gravity. Discharged through the drain valve.

Installation:

1. The device must be installed correctly, and qualified operators must follow the operating instructions for debugging and maintenance in order to ensure its safe operation.
2. Failure to close the isolation valve during installation and maintenance can cause damage to system components and harm to human health. The danger also includes shutting down protective devices, ventilation pipes, or alarm systems. Ensure that the isolation valve is closed to avoid system impact.
3. Pressure: During maintenance and repair, it is necessary to consider whether there is any medium in the oil-water separator pipeline. It is necessary to ensure that the pressure medium has been isolated and the safety airway has been connected to the atmosphere. This can be resolved by installing a vent valve. Even if the pressure gauge indicates zero, do not assume that the system is vented.
4. Temperature: After closing the isolation valve, it is necessary to allow a period of time for the operating area to approach room temperature to avoid burns.
