Working principle: Double row chain scraper is a transportation equipment that uses a scraper chain moving inside a closed shell to transport bulk materials to predetermined targets. It has the advantages of small size, strong sealing, good rigidity, flexible process layout, easy installation and maintenance, and the ability to add and unload materials at multiple points. Therefore, it significantly improved the working conditions of workers and prevented environmental pollution. The principle of the double row chain scraper relies on the internal friction and lateral pressure of the material. During the process of conveying materials, the pressure in the direction of the scraper chain movement and the pushing force of the lower material on the upper material during continuous feeding are sufficient to overcome the external friction resistance between the material and the shell and the weight of the material itself when it is conveyed in the machine slot.
Installation and maintenance of double row chain scraper products:
The installation of a double row chain scraper requires the following work:
1) Positioning:
Firstly, determine the positions of the machine head and tail, and then determine the centerline of the scraper conveyor.
2) Laying the middle groove:
Lay the middle groove according to the determined centerline of the conveyor. If non-metallic trough boxes are used, the middle trough should be paved with bricks and precast cement boards, and then bonded with cast stone lining boards. When laying the cast stone lining board, attention should be paid to flatness, with as few joints as possible, and longitudinal gaps should be staggered to prevent the gaps from being ground into grooves during work.
The surface of the conveyor needs to be laid flat. If there are too many bends in the conveyor plane, it will inevitably cause uneven force on the two chains, accelerate the wear between the chains and the groove wall cast stone, and even cause chain jamming. The overlapping of each section of the groove should be smooth without steps. Due to the structural limitations of the groove itself, adjacent middle grooves should not deviate too much in the vertical direction. If the conveyor is laid unevenly, the transportation power consumption will increase. The accumulated coal or debris on the runway should be cleaned up.
3) Install the nose and tail:
There should be a certain amount of space left at the nose and tail of the aircraft for maintenance and repair. The centerline of the sprocket should be perpendicular to the centerline of the conveyor and kept horizontal.
4) Install scraper chain:
The scraper chain should be pre connected before installation, and the scraper should be evenly distributed in the chain. If there are two chains, choose equal lengths or assemble them according to the matching chains at the factory. The chain must not have any twisting phenomenon. The welding edge of the circular chain is facing upwards to prevent the chain from getting stuck with the sprocket.
5) Inspection and air freight transfer:
After the conveyor is installed, a comprehensive inspection should be conducted and the conveyor should be started. Run for 2 hours by air, mainly checking whether the drive device and scraper are running normally. At the same time, make each adjacent middle groove close together, tighten the chain again, and adjust the chain length. During the first two weeks of operation of the scraper conveyor, special attention should be paid to the tightness of the chain. The inspection method is: if there is a driving device at the tail of the machine, jog the driving device. When there are two or more loose chain links on the upper chain of the tail sprocket, tighten or remove the chain to reduce the length of the chain links. If there is only a head drive device, the motor needs to be rotated in reverse. When there are two or more loose links in the upper chain at the head sprocket, it is also necessary to tighten the chain or remove the chain to reduce the ring.

Because during the conveying process, the scraper chain is buried in the material being conveyed, it is called a double row chain scraper machine.
When the double row chain scraper conveyor is conveying horizontally, the material is subjected to the pressure of the scraper chain in the direction of movement and the weight of the material itself, resulting in internal friction between the materials. This frictional force ensures a stable state between the material layers and is sufficient to overcome the material in the machine slot. The external friction generated by movement causes the material to form a continuous flow and be transported as a whole.
During vertical lifting, the material is subjected to pressure from the scraper chain in the direction of movement, generating lateral pressure in the material and creating internal friction. At the same time, due to the continuous feeding of the lower horizontal section, the lower material successively exerts a pushing force on the upper material. This frictional and pushing force is sufficient to overcome the external frictional resistance generated by the movement of materials in the machine slot and the weight of the materials themselves, forming a continuous and integral material flow and being lifted.
The double row chain scraper machine has a simple mechanism, light weight, small size, strong sealing, and easy installation and maintenance. It can not only transport horizontally, but also tilt or vertically lift the conveyor; It can add more materials and unload more materials, and the conveyor process layout is relatively flexible. Due to the enclosed shell, it has outstanding advantages in improving workers' operating conditions and preventing environmental pollution when transporting materials that are prone to flying, toxic, explosive, and high-temperature.
