1、 Instrument Overview:

GB/T5454 Oxygen Index TesterCan test the lowest concentration of oxygen required for the combustion of samples of interior decoration materials for electric bicycles. The oxygen index is an important reference value for measuring the flame retardant properties of materials. The oxygen index refers to the minimum oxygen concentration (expressed as a percentage) required to maintain continuous combustion when a material (specimen) of a certain size is loaded into a testing device, a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen is introduced under specified conditions, and the specimen is ignited with an igniter. This tester is an imported paramagnetic oxygen concentration sensor with accurate measurement, long lifespan, low error rate, and high reliability.

The step proportional valve greatly improves the control accuracy of flow rate. With closed-loop control, the oxygen concentration drift program automatically adjusts to the target value during the test, which avoids the disadvantage that the traditional oxygen index tester cannot adjust the oxygen concentration during the test, and greatly improves the test accuracy.

Tips: During the oxygen index tester test, one bottle of industrial grade oxygen/nitrogen gas with a minimum of 98% is required as the gas source. As these gases are high-risk transportation goods, they cannot be provided as accessories for the oxygen index tester and can only be purchased at the user's local gas station. (To ensure the purity of the gas, please purchase it at a local regular gas station)

Attention: Oxygen sensor

1. Introduction to oxygen sensor: In the experiment of oxygen index testing, the function of oxygen sensor is to convert the chemical signal of combustion into electronic signal and display it in front of the operator. A sensor is like a battery, and it consumes energy every time it is tested. The higher the user's frequency of use or the higher the oxygen index value of the test material, the higher the consumption of the oxygen sensor.

2. Maintenance of oxygen sensors: To eliminate normal wear and tear, the following two points in maintenance and upkeep can help extend the service life of oxygen sensors:

If the equipment does not require testing for a long time, the oxygen sensor can be removed and sealed at a lower temperature to isolate oxygen storage. A simple operation method is to protect it with cling film and place it in the refrigerator compartment.

2. If the equipment is used relatively frequently (such as every three to four days), at the end of the day's test, the oxygen cylinder can be turned off first and then the nitrogen cylinder can be turned off after one or two minutes, allowing nitrogen to fill other mixing devices to reduce the ineffective reaction between the oxygen sensor and oxygen.
