Overview

The stainless steel steam water separator is a pressure vessel structure made of carbon steel or stainless steel equipment, and the interface type is flange structure DN16/DN25/DN40; The steam water separator must be installed on a horizontal pipeline, with the drainage outlet facing vertically downwards. All sizes of steam water separators are equipped with mounting brackets to reduce the load on the pipeline

Product Details

Stainless steel steam water separatorworking principle:

The working principle of a centrifugal gas-liquid separator: a large amount of steam or compressed air containing water enters the steam water separator and moves downwards in a centrifugal inclined manner; The entrained water is separated due to a decrease in velocity; The separated liquid flows through the automatic drain valve and is discharged, while the dry and clean steam is discharged from the outlet of the separator.
The working principle of the baffle gas-liquid separator is to remove liquid water from the medium through five stages of separation - deceleration, centrifugation, collision, direction change, coagulation, etc., to achieve purification. Often placed behind the aftercooler.
The working principle of centrifugal baffle gas-liquid separator: mainly used in situations where the medium pressure is relatively low and the system pressure drop is required to be small, such as the filtration of methane gas. Because its pressure is usually not high, a single centrifugal or baffle type cannot achieve the treatment effect

Baffle type - A baffle or folded plate separator is composed of many baffles, and the fluid changes its flow direction multiple times inside the separator. Due to the large mass and inertia of suspended water droplets, when encountering a change in the flow direction of the baffle, dry steam can bypass the baffle and continue to move forward, while water droplets will accumulate on the baffle. The steam water separator has a large flow area, reducing the kinetic energy of water droplets, most of which will condense and eventually fall to the bottom of the separator, and be discharged through a drain valve.
Steam rotary or centrifugal separators use a series of fins to generate high-speed cyclones, allowing steam to rotate and flow at high speeds within the separator.
Adsorption type - There is an obstacle on the steam channel inside the adsorption type separator, usually a metal mesh pad. Suspended water droplets are adsorbed when they encounter it, and when they reach a certain size, they fall to the bottom of the separator due to gravity. It is also common to combine the forms of steam spinning and adsorption in separators, as combining these two methods can improve the overall separation efficiency.
The main difference between baffle type, rotary type, and adsorption type separators is that baffle type separators can maintain high separation efficiency over a wide range of flow rates, while rotary type and adsorption type separators can only achieve a separation efficiency of 98% when the steam velocity is below 13m/s, otherwise the efficiency will be very low. When the steam velocity is 25m/s, the separation efficiency is only about 50%.
