1、 Introduction
The TD bucket elevator consists of upper and lower chain wheels, belts, digging buckets, screw rods, inlet and outlet ports, boxes, motor reducers, etc. It has significant advantages such as large conveying capacity, high lifting height, stable and reliable operation, and long service life. Its main performance and parameters comply with JB3926-85 "Vertical Bucket Elevator", and the traction ring chain complies with MT36-80 "High Strength Ring Chain for Mining". This elevator is suitable for conveying a specific gravity not exceeding 1.5t/m3Powdery, granular, and small block shaped materials with low or no grindability, such as coal, cement, stones, sand, clay, ore, grains, fertilizers, etc., are allowed to be transported at higher temperatures (material temperature not exceeding 250 ℃) due to the circular chain traction mechanism of the elevator. The speed of the hoist should not exceed 85 revolutions per minute. If the speed is too high, it may result in incomplete unloading and residual material in the bucket. The normal conveying height of a bucket elevator with a regular belt is generally not more than 20 meters, while the conveying height of a bucket elevator with a steel wire rope core belt can reach 80 meters.

The TD bucket elevator consists of a running part (hopper and traction tape), an upper section with a transmission drum, a lower section with a tension drum, a middle casing, a driving device, a reverse braking device, etc. TD bucket elevator is suitable for conveying loose density ρ < 1.5t/m upwards3Powder, granular, and small block shaped non abrasive and semi abrasive bulk materials, such as coal, sand, coke powder, cement, crushed ore, etc.
There are two forms of transmission devices, which are equipped with YZ type reducers and ZQ (or YY) type reducers. The YZ type shaft reducer is directly installed on the main shaft head, eliminating the need for the elevator transmission platform, coupling, etc., making its structure compact and lightweight. In addition, the elevator is equipped with a special-shaped roller backstop, which is reliable. The reducer has low noise, operates smoothly, and floats with the spindle, which can relieve installation stress.
This machine is equipped with four types of hoppers: Q-type (shallow hopper), H-type (arc bottom hopper), Zd type (medium deep hopper). It is generally suitable for conveying wet, easily clumped, and difficult to throw materials, such as wet sand, molding sand, fertilizers, alkali powder, etc. Sd type (deep hopper) is generally suitable for conveying dry, loose and easily thrown materials such as cement, clinker, crushed stone, coal blocks, etc.
The selection of configuration should be based on the characteristics of various conveying materials to choose the appropriate hopper.
4、 Installation
1. The support surface of the lower section of the bucket elevator must be ensured to be seated on the horizontal plane of the foundation. It needs to be firmly installed on a sturdy concrete foundation, and the surface of the concrete foundation should be flat and horizontal to ensure that the bucket elevator meets the vertical requirements after installation.
A bucket elevator with a higher height should be connected to adjacent buildings (such as silos, workshops, etc.) at appropriate positions on the middle and upper casings to increase its stability. When installing, first install the lower components, fix the anchor bolts, then install the middle casing, and finally install the upper casing. The installation of the casing has been successful, and the verticality has been corrected. Measure with a straight lead line at full height, with an error of less than 10mm. The upper and lower axes should be parallel, and their axis lines should be in the same plane.
When installing a bucket elevator with a lower height, the upper, middle, and lower casings can be connected and aligned perfectly on the ground level, and then lifted and fixed as a whole on a concrete foundation.
2. The upper drive shaft and lower tension shaft of the bucket elevator should be in the same vertical plane, and both axis lines should be parallel to the horizontal plane.
3. There shall be no significant misalignment at the flange connection of the middle casing. Asbestos pads or waterproof canvas can be placed between the flanges to ensure sealing.
4. The centerlines of the lower section, middle casing, and upper section of the bucket elevator should be on the same vertical line, with a vertical deviation of no more than 1mm over a length of 1m, and a cumulative deviation of no more than 8mm in total height.
5. The position of the hopper on the traction component should be correct and securely fastened. During operation, there should be no deviation or collision of the casing.
6. After adjusting the spiral tensioning device, the traction component should have a uniform and necessary tension for normal operation. In order to provide sufficient tightening stroke during operation, the remaining tightening stroke should not be less than 50% of the full stroke.
7. The axis of the high-speed shaft of the reducer and the axis of the electric motor should be parallel to each other; The axis of the low-speed shaft and the axis of the bucket elevator drive shaft should be on the same horizontal line, with a parallel offset of no more than 0.2mm and an intersection angle of no more than 40 degrees.
8. The bucket elevator should be equipped with lifting equipment, with a lifting capacity of not less than 2t. The distance between the rail bottom of the crane and the driving centerline is generally 2-2.2m.
9. The middle of the bucket elevator should have a middle support device to prevent deviation. The spacing between support points should not exceed 8m. The support points above should be as close to the head as possible.
10. After installing the casing, install the chain and hopper. The U-shaped screw used for connecting the hopper serves as both a chain joint and a fixing component for the hopper. The nut of the U-shaped screw must be tightened and reliably prevented from loosening.
11. After installing the chain and hopper, tighten them appropriately.
12. Add appropriate amounts of engine oil and grease to the reducer and bearing seat respectively. The reducer is lubricated with industrial gear oil. Calcium based or sodium based butter can be used inside the bearing seat.
13. Trial operation should be carried out immediately after installation. Attention should be paid to air freight transfer:
Cannot be reversed, there should be no collision phenomenon. The air running time should not be less than 2 hours, and there should be no overheating phenomenon. The temperature rise of the bearing should not exceed 250C, and the temperature rise of the reducer should not exceed 300C. After 2 hours of air running, everything should be normal before the load test can be carried out. During the load test, the feeding should be uniform to prevent excessive feeding and blockage of the lower part, which may cause "stuffiness".
5、 Characteristics:
1. The conveying capacity is large, and compared to the D type with the same bucket width, the conveying capacity of the TD type is nearly doubled.
2. The scope of improvement is wide. This type of hoist has fewer requirements for the types and characteristics of materials. It can not only lift general powder and small granular materials, but also materials with high grinding properties, good sealing, and less environmental pollution.
3. The driving power is small. Adopting inflow feeding, induction unloading, and a dense arrangement of large capacity hoppers, there is almost no material return or excavation during material lifting, resulting in less ineffective power.
4. The overall structure is simple, easy to install, and convenient for adjustment, maintenance, and upkeep.
5. Long service life. The feeding of the elevator adopts an inflow type, without the need for digging with a bucket, and there is little squeezing and collision between materials. During design, it is ensured that materials are less scattered during feeding and unloading, reducing mechanical wear and tear. The traction component is a low-alloy high-strength circular ring chain, which, after appropriate heat treatment, has high tensile strength and wear resistance, and a long service life. Alternatively, high-strength steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belts with high tensile strength can be used.
