Measurement principle:



By continuously collecting particles on the filter membrane to measure the attenuation of light, the concentration of black carbon aerosol is obtained based on its absorption characteristics and attenuation degree of transmitted light in the 370nm, 470nm, 520nm, 590nm, 660nm, 880nm, and 950nm wavelength bands. The concentration of black carbon aerosol is mainly measured at the 880nm wavelength.



Multi band analysis is used for analyzing black carbon sources (identifying biomass combustion sources, vehicle exhaust sources, etc.), studying aerosol optical absorption, radiative transfer, and atmospheric optical properties. High temporal resolution data is used for research on source and direct emission monitoring.




Technical advantages:




*Simultaneously using light sources with wavelengths of 370, 470, 520, 590, 660, 880, and 950 nm, the seven band data shows the fastest frequency to be 1Hz;



*The dual point technology (US Patent No. 8411272 and 9018583) avoids the phenomenon of membrane loading when sampling with a single membrane strip and provides more comprehensive information on aerosol chemical components;

*Calibrate the optical components of the instrument using NIST neutral density optical filters;

* Source parsing:The embedded source apportionment model decomposes black carbon concentration into fossil fuel and biomass combustion sources.

*Quality control and quality assurance: Use external calibrators for manual or automatic flow calibration, and perform noise and gas leakage detection through dynamic zero calibration. Additionally, calibrate the optical components of the instrument using standard traceable neutral density optical filters;



*Chart display: The instrument interface has a chart display function, which can display data charts of main parameters such as BC1, BC6, BB%, BCff, etc. within a certain period of time. In the case of installing meteorological sensors, it can also display wind speed and direction charts;
