The TISCH six stage impact microbial sampler is a porous componentGrade impact sampler is used to measure the concentration and particle size distribution of aerobic bacteria and fungi in ambient air This instrument is widely used as a standard instrument for counting the number of active microorganisms in microbial aerosols. The TISCH six stage impact microbial sampler is designed according to aerodynamic principles and consists of six aluminum plates. Each impact disk has acceleration injection holes with a strictly designed diameter and quantity. When air passes through the sampler, multiple nozzles on each impact plate directly blow aerobic microorganisms onto the agar collection surface (Petri Dish) of the impact plate. The size of each impact plate hole is the same, but the nozzle size of each plate below will gradually decrease The size range of microorganisms collected by each impact disk is determined by the nozzle velocity of each impact disk and the cutting particle size of the previous impact disk. Microorganisms that were not collected in the previous impact disk will enter the next impact disk along the edge of the Petri Dish culture dish.

The TISCH six stage impact microbial sampler contains 400 small holes in each impact disk, with diameters ranging from 1.18mm in the first impact disk to 0.25mm in the sixth impact disk. Each impact disc has a removable glass Petri dish (with a metal lid). The air outlet of each impact disk is approximately 19mm larger than the diameter of the Petri dish, allowing non colliding microorganisms to enter the next impact disk from the edge of the culture dish.

The TISCH six stage impact microbial sampler collects microorganisms from air samples on bacterial agar surfaces for in situ cultivation and identification. A constant 1CFM air sampling flow is provided by a vacuum pump, and the flow rate is controlled by an adjustable valve on the vacuum pump. Regular calibration is recommended.
