Desalination water equipment is a new water treatment method that combines electrodialysis with ion exchange. It utilizes the phenomena in electrodialysis to electrochemically regenerate ion exchange resins, without the need for acidity or alkalinity, and is more in line with modern environmental requirements. It can replace ion exchange mixed beds to produce ultrapure water.

1、 Equipment working principle

The desalination equipment consists of ion exchange resin, ion exchange membrane, etc. The ions in the water are captured by the ion exchange resin, and the water is desalinated and purified. Under the action of an electric field, captured cations pass through the cation membrane and anions pass through the anion membrane. Ions pass through the ion exchange membrane and enter the concentrated water chamber for collection and discharge. At a certain current, water molecules are ionized into H+and OH - ions, which regenerate the failed resin and achieve continuous water production and regeneration.

2、 Equipment process comparison

There are three main preparation processes for desalination equipment, namely ion exchange, reverse osmosis+mixed bed, and reverse osmosis+EDI technology. The ion exchange method mainly uses ion exchange resin for operation, which has a relatively low initial investment and small footprint. The disadvantage is that the regeneration of resin consumes a large amount of acid-base agents, causing pollution to the environment. Reverse osmosis+mixed bed is a relatively economical water production method, but it also requires the use of acid and alkali, which can also cause damage to the environment. Reverse osmosis+EDI technology is an economical and environmentally friendly method.

3、 Equipment features

The desalination equipment has a high desalination rate and low operating pressure. It adopts a low roll composite reverse osmosis membrane, which produces excellent water quality, long service life, and low noise. Online water conductivity meter and pH meter for raw water and product water can monitor water quality at any time. The 150T/H desalination equipment adopts online product water and concentrated water flow meters, which can monitor the product water volume and system recovery rate at any time. Configure an automatic cycle cleaning system for cleaning after membrane fouling. The fast flushing valve regularly flushes the surface of the membrane to reduce the rate of membrane fouling and extend the service life of the membrane.
