Petrochemical Gas Online Analysis System
A chemical gas analysis instrument. It measures gas composition based on changes in ion quantity or current caused by chemical reactions. In order to improve selectivity, prevent surface contamination of measuring electrodes, and maintain electrolyte performance, a diaphragm structure is generally used. There are two commonly used electrochemical analyzers: constant potential electrolysis and galvanic cell. The working principle of a constant potential electrolytic analyzer is to apply a specific potential to the electrode, and the measured gas will undergo electrolysis on the surface of the electrode. By measuring the potential applied to the electrode, the unique electrolysis potential of the measured gas can be determined, thus enabling the instrument to selectively identify the measured gas. The galvanic cell analyzer electrolyzes the measured gas that diffuses into the electrolyte through a diaphragm, and measures the resulting electrolysis current to determine the concentration of the measured gas. By selecting different electrode materials and electrolytes to change the internal voltage on the electrode surface, selectivity for gases with different electrolytic potentials can be achieved.
Recently, the reporter learned from the Shandong Provincial Petrochemical and Organic Chemical Industry Organic Waste Gas Pollution Control and Monitoring Technology Exchange and Supply Demand Matchmaking Conference that Shandong will focus on the control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The Special Management Plan for Volatile Organic Compounds in Key Industries in Shandong Province is about to be released and implemented.
At the meeting, Xiao Hong, Director of the Atmospheric Department of the Shandong Provincial Environmental Protection Department, stated that since the implementation of the "Phase I Action Plan", effective measures have been taken to effectively control conventional pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. However, there is little potential for further significant emission reductions, and there has been no substantial progress in the control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which has become a shortcoming in our province's air pollution control. ”
The reporter learned that some production processes in industries such as petrochemicals, organic chemicals, packaging and printing do not directly produce conventional pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, but they can produce invisible and intangible atmospheric pollutants - volatile organic compounds.
