The development history of rotary kiln incineration technology is very long, and the technological development is constantly advancing. It has the advantages of low requirements for garbage pretreatment, wide adaptability to garbage calorific value, no strict requirements for the characteristics of garbage entering the furnace, and easy operation and maintenance. A rotary kiln is a furnace bed formed by the rotation of the kiln body, and the garbage passes through three sections on the furnace bed in sequence: the drying section, the combustion section, and the burnout section. The inclined rotation of the kiln body and the gravity of the garbage itself cause the garbage to constantly flip, stir, and push forward. The garbage ignites inside the kiln, and the heat not only comes from the radiation and convection of the smoke above, but also from inside the garbage layer. The burning garbage generates strong flipping and agitation through the rotation of the kiln body, causing the bottom garbage to burn. Continuous flipping and agitation also loosens the garbage layer, enhances breathability, and is conducive to the drying, ignition, combustion, and burnout of the garbage. During normal operation, the furnace temperature is maintained between 850 ℃ and 950 ℃. In general, the heat generated by combustion can maintain the furnace temperature. In cases where the calorific value of waste is low, it is necessary to inject fuel or gas as auxiliary fuel. Rotary kiln is currently the world's most technologically mature and large-scale incinerator for processing hazardous waste.
