The working process of SK water ring vacuum pump and gas water separator is as follows: gas enters the vacuum pump or compressor through a valve in the pipeline, and then is discharged into the gas water separator through a guide pipe, and discharged through the exhaust pipe of the gas water separator. When the SK type water ring vacuum pump is used as a compressor, the gas water mixture discharged by the compressor is separated in the gas water separator, and the gas is transported to the system that needs to compress the gas through the valve, while the water remains in the gas water separator. In order to maintain a certain water level in the gas water separator, an automatic overflow switch is installed. When the water level is higher than the required level, the overflow switch opens and water overflows from the overflow pipe. When the water level is lower than the required level, the overflow switch closes and the water level in the gas water separator rises to reach the required level. The working water inside the vacuum pump or compressor is supplied by a gas water separator (tap water can also be used), and the amount of water supplied is adjusted by the valve on the water supply pipe.

The only difference between the gas suction and pressure delivery systems of SK water ring vacuum pump is the internal structure of the gas water separator. When sucking gas, the pressure at the suction port is lower than atmospheric pressure, while the pressure at the exhaust port is equal to atmospheric pressure. The gas water separator only has an overflow pipe. When compressing gas, the suction port is at normal pressure (or in a vacuum state), and the exhaust port pressure is higher than one atmosphere; To ensure the pressure of the transported gas, the water level of the gas water separator is controlled by an overflow switch.

8、 Installation instructions for SK type water ring vacuum pump:

The exhaust pipe of SK type water ring vacuum pump is connected to the inlet pipe of the steam water separator. When used as a compressor, the exhaust pipe of the steam water separator is connected to the system that uses compressed gas. Generally, the pipeline should not be too long and the turning should not be too sharp. When used as an SK type water ring vacuum pump, the gas is discharged to the atmosphere through the exhaust port of the steam water separator. If it is to improve the working environment, gas can be discharged outside the workplace through pipelines.

A valve should be installed between the intake pipe of the SK type water ring vacuum pump and the system, so that it can be closed first during parking to prevent water in the SK type water ring vacuum pump or compressor from returning to the system under the pressure of the exhaust pipe. For the convenience of work, it is best to install a vacuum gauge between the air inlet and the valve to check the working condition of the SK type water ring vacuum pump at any time. When used as a compressor, a gate valve should be installed on the exhaust pipeline of the gas water separator (preferably a one-way valve to ensure that in case of abnormal situations, the gas does not return and the working water returns to the system). A pressure gauge should be installed between the exhaust pipe and the valve to check whether the compressed gas has reached the required pressure at any time.

A filter screen can be installed in front of the inlet of the SK water ring vacuum pump to prevent particles from entering the pump and causing damage to the internal components of the pump.
