Thermal optical mass spectrometry combined carbon aerosol whole component analysis system
System Overview
The thermal optical mass spectrometry combined carbon aerosol whole component analysis system consists of a DRI 2015 multi band organic carbon/elemental carbon analyzer and a photoionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer (PI TOF-MS). It can import the particulate matter OC components analyzed by the OC/EC analyzer program into the PI TOF-MS injection system, and use single photon ionization and multi photon resonance enhanced photoionization techniques to achieve efficient ionization of OC components, obtaining mass spectra of each OC component (maximum mass to charge ratio of 2000m/z), thereby determining the compound composition in aerosol OC components, providing rich information for the whole component analysis of carbon aerosols, especially the source analysis and secondary transformation research of organic carbon aerosols.
Quartz fiber filter membrane collectionAnalysis of environmental particulate matter in the collection
Photonion and AEROSOL have jointly developed a new powerful analytical method for quartz fiber filter membrane samples, which can analyze the chemical composition of carbon containing particles at the molecular level without sample preparation.
divideAnalysis method
The combination of AEROSOL's MODEL 2015 multi band carbon analyzer and Photonion's photoionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
A carbon analyzer can determine the carbon component content of aerosols (TC=EC+OC).
The photoionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer can provide the content of each component of organic carbon in carbon components with different temperature gradients obtained by thermal optical method.
