During the core making process of the cold box shooting machine, triethylamine is used as a curing agent, which generates volatile organic compounds (VOCs) containing triethylamine. Triethylamine belongs to alkaline organic amine substances. Alkaline washing pretreatment: Triethylamine is an alkaline substance, which can be neutralized by washing with dilute acid solution to reduce the subsequent adsorption unit load;

Adsorption desorption unit: using honeycomb shaped activated carbon (or activated carbon fibers) to adsorb low concentration exhaust gas, saturating and desorbing through hot air (desorption temperature 80-120 ℃) to achieve activated carbon regeneration, suitable for intermittent exhaust gas emissions;

Catalytic combustion unit: The high concentration triethylamine waste gas generated by desorption (concentration ≥ 5000mg/m ³ after concentration) enters the catalytic combustion furnace and can be burned at 250-300 ℃ under the action of precious metal catalysts (such as Pt Pd alloy), generating CO ₂, H ₂ O and N ₂ without secondary pollution, and the combustion heat can be recovered for desorption, reducing energy consumption.

1. Device composition (according to the exhaust gas treatment process)

(1) Exhaust gas collection system of triethylamine exhaust gas purification device

Collection method: Install a sealed cover (or side suction cover) above the core shooting machine, and control the wind speed at the cover mouth at 0.8-1.2m/s;

Pipeline: Made of fiberglass material, the diameter of the pipeline is calculated based on the air volume, with a wind speed of 12-15m/s to avoid condensation and deposition of triethylamine;

Fan: Select a centrifugal anti-corrosion fan (air volume matching, air pressure ≥ 3000Pa), set after the pretreatment unit, to avoid the fan from coming into contact with high concentration exhaust gas.

(2) Triethylamine waste gas purification device alkali washing pretreatment unit

Equipment: A packed tower (made of PP material, with a tower diameter determined according to the air flow rate, such as a tower diameter of DN800 corresponding to 3000m ³/h) is used, filled with multi-faceted hollow ball packing (specification Φ 50mm, specific surface area ≥ 200m ²/m ³);

Process parameters: The circulation rate of dilute H ₂ SO ₄ solution is 5-8m ³/h (liquid to gas ratio 1.5-2.5L/m ³), the empty tower gas velocity inside the tower is 1.0-1.5m/s, the residence time is ≥ 1.5s, and the concentration of triethylamine in the waste gas after neutralization is ≤ 800mg/m ³;

Auxiliary facilities: equipped with acid circulation pump (PP material, head ≥ 15m), pH online monitoring device (real-time monitoring of acid pH, automatic replenishment of dilute H ₂ SO ₄ when pH ≥ 4), wastewater storage tank (collecting amine containing wastewater at the bottom of the tower, regularly handed over to qualified units for treatment).

(3) Adsorption desorption unit of triethylamine waste gas purification device

Adsorption tower: Set up 2 parallel activated carbon adsorption towers (made of Q235 carbon steel anti-corrosion, tower diameter DN1200, single tower activated carbon loading capacity ≥ 1.5m ³), with one tower for adsorption and one tower for desorption, and the switching cycle is determined according to the concentration of exhaust gas (usually 8-12 hours/cycle);

Selection of Activated Carbon: Honeycomb Coal Activated Carbon (Iodine Value ≥ 800mg/g, Specific Surface Area ≥ 1000m ²/g, Pore Size 2-5nm, Suitable for Triethylamine Adsorption);

(5) Exhaust emission system

Chimney: Made of fiberglass material, with a height of ≥ 15m, and equipped with an online monitoring device at the air outlet.
