tlbaIt is a special pump specifically designed for transporting high viscosity crude oil (heavy oil), and its core function is to overcome technical difficulties such as high viscosity, poor fluidity, and easy solidification of crude oil. Heavy oil usually refers to crude oil with a viscosity exceeding 50mPa · s under reservoir conditions, and some ultra heavy oil can have a viscosity of tens of thousands of mPa · s. This type of pump achieves efficient and stable transportation of heavy oil from the wellhead to the processing station through special structural design and process control, supporting the complete operation of the heavy oil extraction and refining industry chain


It is mainly divided into three categories:

1. Screw pump: relying on the meshing of metal rotor and rubber stator to form a closed chamber, and conveying fluid through the principle of screw propulsion. Single screw pumps are suitable for heavy oil with viscosity ≤ 100000mPa · s and sand content ≤ 5%, while twin screw pumps can handle media with a gas content of 30%.

2. Reciprocating plunger pump: The plunger moves back and forth in the high-pressure cylinder, and the flow direction is controlled by the suction valve and discharge valve. The working pressure can reach 25MPa, and it is used for heavy oil lifting in steam injection and extraction (SAGD).

3. Gear pump: The meshing of internal and external gears produces volume changes to transport fluids, suitable for clean heavy oil with viscosity ≤ 10000mPa · s, commonly used in refinery raw material transportation.

The key parameters include viscosity adaptation range, temperature resistance limit (usually -30 ℃~350 ℃), solid particle tolerance (≤ 5mm particle size), and pressure fluctuation control (within ± 3%).
